Doodle Quest is one of the most unique games we've played. Players must draw their way through a series of quests to win; but there's a catch.
Each player can look at the quest card set in the middle of the group, but has to draw on a blank board and guess where the obstacles really are positioned. Only once
the players have finished can they overlay their board on the quest card to see how they did. This is a game where a picture is worth a million words,
so be sure to check out our photos below to appreciate this one fully.
Doodle Quest will help develop skills not often experienced in board games. Players must effectively observe the spatial relationship between objects and then draw
their way through this maze without really seeing what they're doing. This is a game that all ages should find challenging and fun. And don't worry, thankfully artistic ability is not needed.

Yes, all skill levels can play together but young kids will be at a disadvantage.
Each player uses their own board
so very young kids can play without impacting game play. And all players will likely enjoy playing together. However, younger kids will likely be at a disadvantage because they have not fully developed the
skills this game needs. Using our Custom Rules will help alleviate this and make the game
more competitive.
How long does it take to play?
10 - 20 minutes
Will we get bored after playing it a few times or does the game have good replayability?
This game is very replayable. There are nearly 40 different quests and each can be replayed over and over again.
Setup/Cleanup
How much work is it?
Very Low. Setup is simply picking the 6 quests the players will use for that particular game.
Would kids be able to do it on their own?
Yes. Some young kids may require help getting their board aligned just right with
the quest cards to check their score. Calculating scores would also require some help if none of the players can add to about 30.
Will parents have fun too...
...when playing with the kids?
Yes. Even parents find challenges in this game.
...without the kids?
Yes. This game could provide a fun, light hearted break for even experiences board game players.
Educational Value
What skills will this game help develop?
Spatial Perception
This is a very unique game because it requires players to observe an image on the quest board and then estimate where
the key elements will be positioned on their own board.
Hand Eye Coordination
This is another skill not often present in board games. To be effective, a player will need to draw on their own board while looking
at the quest board.
Fine Motor Skills
This is an excellent game for developing some of the fine motor skills used in handwriting.
But will my kids actually have fun playing it?
Yes. Even though it can be challenging, kids will enjoy this game.
Custom Rules
To make the game easier for younger kids
Allow younger kids to make adjustments to their drawings after checking it against the quest board
Depending on the age of
the child and how difficult the particular quest board is, we will allow younger kids to do this once or even twice. This not only helps them compete with older kids
but also develops spatial perception and hande eye coordination more quickly as they get feedback on their drawing and can immediately implement it.
